Mrs Wigley was not the wife of Wirra Wirra founder Robert Strangways Wigley, but a particular pussycat
who was born at the neighbouring Petrucci residence. Within days her mum had dragged the litter to
settle in our open fermenters, and from then on Mrs Wigley became a permanent feature of the cellars.

The light, but nonetheless vivid, puce hue introduces a fresh, crisp display of red berries, cherries and the barest hint of Turkish delight. Very much one of those wines suggesting the National Health and Medical Council's recommended 1-2 glass consumption should be ignored.
Florals and red fruit in abundance. A mix of raspberry, splash of cranberry too. Initial hints of fruit make way for a dry palate, spice and a suggestion of the florals too. For the record, it is dry, and the fruit does perhaps give an association of sweetness.
STRIKINGLY composed McLaren Vale grenache-driven rosé delivering a stunning array of refreshing notes and yet another example of the style’s mounting popularity. Sweetish, dry strawberry flavours have underpinned this wine’s reputation and this latest version ticks all the boxes once again.
