Trott's Trotters
In his former years as a chook farmer and at the rebirth of Wirra Wirra, Greg Trott found that light soled, dairy gumboots were the most practical footwear. With round-the-clock work at vintage and the to and fro travel from cellar to chook shed to home he hardly ever took them off. Even with formal black tie occasions, or when flying interstate, the gum boots were often necessary to traverse the muddy yard to get to the car or to check the chooks on return. So when it came to selecting suitable corporate merchandise they were an instant choice.
Trott scoured the nation for a manufacturer to craft his ideal boot in Wirra Wirra blue and found the factory virtually at his door. With dimpled soles that don't collect the mud and special turned down tops for ease of application these "wellies" are smarter than the original but are now as much an icon of Wirra Wirra. With the help of a little floor wax they can be danced in at balls, they look classy with evening dress and their rounded edges and soft construction don't tear the bed sheets.
